Webb Technologies (UK) Limited ("WebbTech", "Sosius", "we" or "us") takes your privacy very seriously and we work hard to earn and keep your trust. This Privacy Policy applies to data collected by us through the majority of our websites and services. It applies to all sites, services and products that display or link to this statement.

1. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

1.1. This Privacy Policy covers how Sosius treats personal information that we collect and receive, including information related to your past use of our products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

1.2. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Sosius does not own or control, or to people that we do not employ or manage.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION

Registration

2.1. When you create an account you are required to provide personal information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, ZIP/postal code, and to choose a password.

2.2. As part of creating your account, you may also be requested to provide questions and secret answers, which we use to help verify your identity and assist in resetting your password.

2.3. If you choose to sign up for a paid subscription service, we will ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address, which we use to create a billing account.

Additional information

2.4. Once a user, you may provide additional information by, for example, updating your "Profile". Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional, but enables you to better identify yourself to other users.

Contacts

2.5. In order to invite others to connect with you directly or to share access to the information you upload to your account, you will enter their names and email addresses. This information will be used by Sosius to send your invitation including a message that you write. The names and email addresses of people that you invite will be used only to send your invitation and reminders.

2.6. You may also choose to manually enter or upload data about your contacts into the private "Contacts" section of our website. All information entered there will only be viewable by you and those users invited to access that content.

Cookies

2.7. Like most websites, Sosius uses cookies and web log files to track site usage. A cookie is a tiny data file which resides on your computer and allows us to recognise you as a user when you return to our website using the same computer and web browser. Cookie and log file data are used to customise your experience on our site.

2.8. One type of cookie, known as a "persistent" cookie, is set once you have logged in to your account. The next time you visit our website, the persistent cookie will allow us to recognise you as an existing user so you will not need to log in before using the service. In order to access or change any of your private information, however, you must log in securely again with your password even if your computer contains your persistent cookie. Additionally, if you log out of the site you will need to re-enter your password the next time you visit in order to log in to your account.

2.9. Another type of cookie, called a "session" cookie, is used to identify a particular visit to our website. Session cookies expire after a short time or when you close your web browser.

2.10. When you visit our website we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web), your computer operating system and type of web browser you are using, as well as the name of your ISP. This information is used to analyse overall trends to help us improve our service. The linkage between your IP address and your personally identifiable information is never shared with third parties without your permission or except when required by law.

Third party ad networks

2.11. We may allow other companies, called third party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements on our web pages. Some of these ad networks may place a persistent cookie on your computer in order to recognise your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. We do not have access to the cookies that may be placed by the third party ad servers or ad networks.

2.12. We do NOT use personally identifiable information to target ads. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

2.13. Those ad networks that use persistent cookies may offer you a way to opt out of ad targeting. You may find more information at the website of the individual ad network. If you opt-out you will lose the potential benefit of receiving ads that are more targeted to your interests.
